Artist Series: Grenache holds subtle lift and ripe depth. Syrah block promotes ample mature flavors, contributing blueberry preserves, smokey spice and plush texture. Graciano brings the bones, adding sophisticated scaffolding and elongated tension. Artist Series is the most outspoken and at ease upon release.
GSM Blend: 90-92--> Forty percent Grenache, 35% Syrah, and the rest Mourvèdre, the 2019 GSM Santa Barbara County reminds me of a top Côtes du Rhône with its peppery black fruits, bouquet garni, and gamey, floral aromas and flavors. It's beautiful textured, balanced, and just a gorgeous wine. - JEB DUNNUCK
Graciano: 92-94 --> All Graciano, the 2019 Graciano Portico Hills is deeply colored (which is normal for Graciano) and has a fresh yet ripe nose of blueberries, sappy herbs, violets, and white pepper. It's elegant, medium to full-bodied, and has a fresh, focused texture, ripe tannins, and a great finish. - JEB DUNNUCK
